Project Goals

Spring is a savings and financial management app with approachable branding that makes it stand on its own from its more conservative parent company, the long-standing UK banking institute Paragon Bank. Brandwidth was tasked with designing and fleshing out a signup and general information site for Spring.

Since a lot of material had yet to be generated or given to us, we kept the content page types minimal: a home page, potential FAQs, blog for financial advice columns, breakdown of savings advantages, etc. The assets handed to Brandwidth were also fairly minimal, consisting of the logo, color palette, and (of course) high-res illustrations of that adorable dog. These looser guidelines allowed us to make the Spring site warm and friendly, standing out from Paragon’s existing aesthetics.

My Role

I served as the support designer, charged with additional iterations, asset refining, presentation assistance, and building components and variables that could be passed back to Spring’s own internal design team.

Outcome and Conclusion

The designs had been approved (but not launched) prior to my departure from Brandwidth at the end of 2024, so I am not privy to exact ROI figures on the site’s signup rate or traffic beyond the Spring folks saying that they loved the work. Overall, this project was a fun exercise that took me outside of the projects that are my usual bread and butter.
